Perhaps I am a little at odds with the natural cycle. (Or just a little odd, some might say).
As the earth beds down for the winter, I'm catching the glimmer of a re-emergence of sorts... lifting my head above the ground to perform a new piece of work for the first time in over a year. It's been a long dreaming, this one. Blodeuwedd Untold first emerged in the form of a show called Ecology for Girls in 2013, but never quite manifested in the way I wanted. Since then, Bloduewedd has haunted me... stalking through the pages of my Phd and now finally appearing in this circular performance of ritual, dance, myth and metamorphosis.
I've been in the studio with it since May 2017, and performed the first two shows at Royal & Derngate in October. Thanks to all those who came to support the work and make the first shows both sell-outs. I am now working with a great team of people to get the show on the road next year. A full list of dates will be released within the next few months. Please check back regularly for updates.
I'm busy working on my blog posts. Watch this space!
